Our 27" is a beautiful creamy earth tone color. Note - the 'duo' picture shows her a bit lighter - see the additional product photos for her more natural color. She would be beautiful holding a birds nest with speckled eggs inside her cage, or a richly colored bouquet of flowers. The doll is wooden, with head and hands made of cast resin, which has been hand carved, sanded and hand painted. It's common to see separation marks between torso and cage, such as seen in the photos.
Our 31" gray Santos is tall and beautiful. She has bright eyes and a gray dress.
In years past, many of these dolls were made by pouring plaster in to molds for heads and hands, and attaching to wood torsos. These days, the torsos and cages are still wood, but plaster is a combo of resin finished with plaster, which has been sculpted, sanded, and hand painted. This joint where the head plate and the torso meet is visible, in a handcrafted vintage fashion.
